Our Math Program

Our MATH Program helps students reduce math anxiety, master math concepts and build a deep understanding of math fundamentals that serve as a foundation for learning more advanced concepts.

Our math instruction takes a stair step approach. From our diagnostic testing we are able to identify exactly what skills are weak and missing and exactly what grade level they occurred in. This makes our approach logical and systematic.

The program

The skill areas in our math program include:

• Numeration
• Addition and Subtraction
• Time and Money
• Measurement
• Multiplication and Division
• Fractions
• Area, Perimeter, and Volume
• Graphing
• Ratio, Proportion and Percent

Most students have mastered some concepts in each of these areas but it's the little bits of missing or misunderstood information that can cause the frustration. That's why we test to discover where the skill gaps are and fill them in first. (Typically, a traditional tutoring program might miss this step.) Once the gaps have been mastered, the real fun can begin. Our math instruction is based on the Principles and Standards of School Mathematics, developed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
