Our Methods Work

Learning² is a Learning Center designed to get kids caught up so that they can keep up and become independent learners. The positive encouragement of our staff and teachers, combined with individualized instruction based on our diagnostic testing, is what we believe sets us apart from traditional tutoring and makes our program a success.

Diagnostic testing

We start every student with a series of defined diagnostic tests designed to identify skills that are weak or missing altogether. Then we sit down with parents to go over test results and make recommendations for a plan of action. With parental permission, we will also meet with your child's teacher to share information and gain additional insight into his academic profile.

Once a child has completed diagnostic testing, he attends the Center where a trained teacher is ready and waiting for him. Our testing helps us design a "blue print" that guides us through each child's program. Each program is designed so that no time is wasted on unnecessary information. We target weak and missing skills (sometimes these could have occurred 2 or 3 years earlier) and fill those in first.

Our techniques ensure long-term mastery by constantly assessing and monitoring progress. We move as quickly or take as much time as the individual child needs. Our goal is to build a foundation of understanding that will last a lifetime. We're gladly working ourselves out of a job!
