Our Reading Program

"They might start reading just for fun!"

Our READING Program is based on solid and scientific research, best practices in education and common sense. Our reading teachers use a systematic, age and grade appropriate approach that ultimately fosters reading independence and confidence. All the components of the Learning² program lead to the ultimate goal of reading for understanding and retention.

The program

Learning² teachers are skilled in our program and methods which are based on the findings of the National Reading Panel and serve as the backbone of our curriculum. The basic fundamentals of the reading program are:

• Phonemic Awareness
• Phonics
• Fluency
• Vocabulary
• Comprehension

Our diagnostic testing will pinpoint the exact areas of weakness in your student's academic endeavors and will allow us to design a program that meets those needs. Our dedicated and trained tutors are delighted to guide your child through a series of exercises each hour that are specific to his learning gaps and ultimately insure a stronger, more confident reader with increased verbal skills and strong comprehension.
